Account Package Integration

Connect Pet Central to your accounting package to keep your books in step. Supported: FreeAgent, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books and FreshBooks. Set it up under Pet Central → Account Package Integration: pick the tab for your package, create an app in that provider’s developer portal, paste the Client ID and Secret, add the shown redirect URI, then click Connect. You connect one package at a time — the one you connect becomes the active one that invoices sync to.

Transferring invoices: from the Invoices list, use the row action or the bulk “Transfer” action. Transferred invoices get a green tick showing which package they went to, and the client is added there as a contact. Any invoice paid in Pet Central is transferred automatically first if it hasn’t been already.

Payments & receipts: the “Where do you take payment?” setting decides the flow. Take payment in Pet Central and the receipt is recorded against the invoice in your accounting package; take it in the package and Pet Central marks the invoice paid on its hourly check. “Both” keeps them in sync either way.

Each package needs a little one-off mapping in its settings — for example the bank account receipts go to, and (depending on the package) a sales account code, sales item or ledger account for invoice lines.

Example

A groomer connects Xero, sends an invoice and taps Transfer, then takes the £35 payment in Pet Central — the receipt appears against that invoice in Xero automatically.

Do I need a developer account?
You register a free app in your provider’s developer portal to get a Client ID and Secret — that’s what lets Pet Central talk to your account. You then connect your normal company account through it.

A payment I took in my accounting package hasn’t shown as paid in Pet Central yet.
Pet Central checks hourly. To pull it in immediately, open Pet Central → Account Package Integration and click “Check for payments now”.
